Description
This black & white painting by the artist Dakini shows a Ghanaian woman at the road side. She is carrying a load on her head. Judging from the scene, she is a Ga woman in Accra, the capital of Ghana. She sells her goods in the daily traffic jam. Standing all day in the blazing sun and breathing in the car pollution, she earns her daily bread. What might be going through her mind while she waits for the next red light?
Dakini used acrylic paint on canvas and combined brush with palette knife technique to suit the atmosphere.
